I have used other foundations, high end and high street and have got better results from the get set go. Results: bigger fail. By now I was thinking, this foundation is way too much effort, for the price it is and the promise it makes. I found the application to be ok but again the return of separation near my chin and dryness near my cheeks and nose. Fifth attempt: was using my fingers only to apply all over, which by now I was kind of over the product. Results: fail – losing the will to live by now I found this way to be the best out of the bunch, but still wasn’t happy as my dry areas made an appearance after 1-2 hours. One of the suggestions which cropped up a few times was to apply with fingers to the face then blend out with a damp beauty blender. fourth attempt: Ready to give up and silently cry as I was about to shelf the foundation, I watched some youtube videos on application (as you do when all else fails) and stalked some bloggers that swear by the foundation on how they apply.Within 10 minutes I could see dry patches in some areas! Results:fail It felt like the blender was just sucking up the product and not giving me the seamless finish I would normally get from a beauty blender. I was not getting the wow feeling still!! I dipped the blender into the foundation on the back of my hand and then bounced it on to my face. third attempt, the trusted damp beauty blender, again not much luck.I had the same issues with dryness showing. The foundation just didn’t apply very nicely and still felt meh. second attempt: Not one to give up I thought I would try a few different ways, so used the Real Techniques Stippling Brush, which always works well for me with a lot of foundations, however no joy. Results: big thumbs down – I was really gutted After 3/4hrs the foundation had separated in a few areas around the nose and chin and dryness was visible near my nose and under eyes. I thought id see how I got on, thinking it may just need a some time to settle in and amaze me and carried on with the day. I dotted 4 drops on the back of my hand to warm the product and then patted on to my face (cheeks, forehead, chin and nose.) Dabbed and lightly buffed in the foundation. The brush seemed to absorb more of the product rather than buff it on to my skin and within minutes of applying I could see my pores and dry areas become visible.
